What are Eyebrow Lifts?
Small holes are made with a needle tip, and the eyebrow hairs are carefully placed. The eyebrow hair is placed in the same natural direction as the native hair to create a more natural look.

The entire process takes about 2-3 hours to perform, and is done entirely under local anesthetic. A simple pain reliever is adequate for any discomfort after the procedure. Complications are unusual, the most common being a small area of purplish discoloration under the eyelids for a few days. For the first few days after the procedure there are tiny scabs which appear like dots of sand on the skin. These eventually fall off, and approximately 2-3 months later the new eyebrow hair begins to grow in. With the new eyebrow hair, it is completely natural and can be treated in exactly the same ways. The eyebrow hair will require regular maintenance, because it will continue to grow like hair on the scalp.

For approximately ten days following surgery there is some swelling and bruising in the forehead, cheek and eye region. Patients are likely to feel some discomfort following surgery and numbness and itching during the healing process. Suture and/or clip removal occurs seven to ten days later. Most patients are 80% recovered in two weeks, however it is recommended that they avoid strenuous activity for a slightly longer period.
An endoscopic browlift or upper facelift is performed to create a smoother, more youthful appearance by reducing wrinkles in the eyebrow region and next to the eyes. The surgeon creates three to five small incisions behind the hairline. The tissues of the brow and scalp are elevated through these incisions. Using sutures and/or clips, the brows are carefully shaped and repositioned to rejuvenate the upper eyelids and reduce wrinkling in the brow and lower forehead, as well as next to the eyes (crow's feet). Endoscopic browlift is now the technological standard for rejuvenation of the upper third of the face. It allows the brow to be elevated in a natural fashion without disfiguring incisions.

The process of transplanting eyebrows is relatively simple. It involves taking a small strip of hair from the back of the head behind the ear where it is finer than the hair on the rest of the scalp, and most closely resembles the character of eyebrow hair. The strip of hair is then disassembled into individual hairs to be used. With the use of artistic vision, careful attention is paid to the individual's facial characteristics, and the boundaries of new eyebrows are drawn in so that the patient can see the shape of their new brows.
